About the Position
We seek a responsible and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to ensure that all creche centres comply with prescribed safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements. The position will be responsible for safety assessments, audits, corrective actions, fire safety, infrastructure safety, documentation, and capacity building of caregivers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and implement prescribed safety guidelines, protocols, and parameters.
- Ensure safety standards are communicated and implemented across all creche centres.
- Orient caregivers and team members on safety requirements and expected practices.
- Assess proposed creche locations and centres for safety readiness before operations begin.
- Identify safety gaps and coordinate corrective measures.
- Ensure required safety measures are completed before a centre becomes operational.
- Coordinate modifications, repairs, and safety-related infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure installation of safety gates, fencing, and other essential safety infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, project teams, and other stakeholders for safety-related work.
- Conduct regular safety visits and audits using approved checklists.
- Document safety observations, gaps, corrective actions, and compliance status.
- Monitor fire-safety preparedness and equipment at each centre.
- Coordinate fire-safety training, capacity-building sessions, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain records of fire extinguishers, servicing, replacement, and expiry dates.
- Maintain an updated safety database/register for all centres.
- Strengthen awareness of child protection, emergency preparedness, and safe use of facilities.
- Immediately communicate safety risks or non-compliance and follow up until corrective action is completed.
- Prepare regular safety audit reports and compliance updates.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preferably a background in Civil Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience with a CSO/NGO or development organization in any domain.
- Experience in safety, infrastructure, field operations, or compliance will be an advantage.
- Having a two-wheeler with valid driving licence is essential for applying for the post.
- The Applicants must have an interest and passion for working in the social sector, along with commitment and perseverance.

Salary:
₹30,000 per month (CTC)
